Homeowners!

We did it!  We signed all of the papers and bought our house on Tuesday morning.  It wasn't an easy process and the deal almost fell apart several times.  But thanks to our amazing agent and his hard work, it's over and it's ours.  We are so thankful that this worked out and excited to actually move in!

Now the hard work begins.  We've spent the past few days pulling up carpet and sanding the original hardwood floors.  Thankfully they are beautiful and not too damaged.  Once the floors are done, we're going to paint the whole house.  We'll move in close to the end of the month.  We can't wait to see the finished product!

  1. Have been stalking your blog waiting for this post! Congratulations and good luck with the decorating and moving. I'm very happy to talk paint colors if you find you've bored everyone to death on the matter in your 'real' life. (I'm a bit sad like that!)

    Best wishes,

    Naomi M

    1. I'll send you the colors that we chose! They are pretty bold, I love them, and I never dreamed that I would be able to convince hubs to go for them. :)

  3. How exciting! I'm very impressed that you've decided on paint colours already. Though it is definitely easier to paint before you've moved in, so great idea.

    1. Agreeing on paint colors was actually much easier than anticipated, considering that I like bright and bold colors (he says obnoxious) and he tends to prefer more muted colors (I say boring). We figure that if we don't like the colors we can just repaint eventually.

    2. Thankfully everything went well and we closed without any issues. We have a little work to do and can only do it on weekends, but nothing major, or at least we have yet to discover anything major...
